A canção é sobre uma criança que chora pela ausência do pai. A sua irmã mais velha tenta confortá-lo cantando esta canção, que na realidade é uma apelação para que seu falecido pai proteja o filho na terra dos vivos (os anciões locais acreditam que os mortos preocupam-se com os seus ente queridos).
